Familiar faces.
A consistent world.
A growing reference for every recurring character in Almag. Faces, clothing, voices and story boundaries stay consistent as the pages turn.
The original events remain the foundation. Aren Tal and Elder Seya give names and faces to the scientist and council; their expanded character details are proposals for this adaptation. Episode 2 introduces John and his friends; their names and roles follow the creator’s chapter, with new visual designs locked for future appearances.
Episode 3 introduces Figi, the Alizean chief scientist. Bigg and the three Maggis survivors retain their established designs; Figi’s new reference fixes his appearance for the chapters ahead.
Episodes 4 and 5 introduce Commander Thaeron, archivist Sera and instructor Korren. Korren is Alizean; Veyr remains the Maggis research commander. Sera and Elder Seya are separate characters. Bigg and Figi retain their established faces and clothing.

Episodes 4–5 · Thaeron’s silver hair and illuminated armour, Sera’s asymmetric braids and ivory stole, Korren’s ochre training wrap.

Episode 3 · Figi’s ivory and teal, Bigg’s familiar indigo, and the Alizean guards’ bronze armour.

Episode 2 · Five friends and one unnamed stranger. Faces, silhouettes and clothing remain fixed through the night.

Episode 1 visual reference · Existing Bigg and Veyr identities adapted into the comic’s full-colour style.
Commander Thaeron
The senior commander who receives Bigg on Almag. He treats his civilisation’s survival as justification for obedience, even when a scientist demands evidence.
Creator’s character · Episode 4 visual designVisual continuity
- Older, imposing Alizean; dark umber skin, amber eyes and two small lower tusks.
- Swept-back silver hair in a short knot, clean-shaven square face and a healed diagonal cheek scar.
- Dark gold armour with three narrow vertical white chest lights; burgundy shoulder mantle.
- Taller than Bigg. Never substitute Figi’s bald head, Korren’s buzzcut or Bigg’s glasses.
Voice
Controlled, authoritative and sparing. His certainty can falter without turning him into an entirely different person.
Story boundary
Name and actions come from the creator’s Episodes 4–5. His claims about the Maggis are his political account, not a neutral description of the whole species.
Sera
An archivist who asks Bigg to question the official account of the war. She is careful about what she says and more willing to examine a gap than conceal it.
Creator’s character · Episode 5 visual designVisual continuity
- Adult Alizean woman; dark umber skin, amber eyes, long face and small lower tusks.
- Short asymmetric black braids, with two slim bronze hairpins on the tucked side.
- Deep plum robe, long ivory stole and a handheld archive crystal.
- Distinct from Elder Seya, whose silver braids, high bun and sun-disc jewellery remain unchanged.
Voice
Quiet, precise and questioning. She distinguishes what the records show from what she suspects.
Story boundary
Sera is not Elder Seya. Her knowledge is incomplete; do not make her omniscient or identify the unknown figure on her behalf.
Korren
Bigg’s physically formidable instructor. He knows how Alizean technology is used, but Bigg’s questions expose limits in what he has been taught to believe.
Creator-approved name · Episode 5 trainerVisual continuity
- Muscular Alizean man with dark umber skin, amber eyes and small lower tusks.
- Very short black buzzcut, broad blunt nose, clean-shaven face.
- Ochre wrap across a dark brown training cuirass, bare muscular upper arms and bronze bracers.
- No helmet, teal sash or burgundy commander’s mantle; never use the pale-grey Maggis design.
Voice
Blunt, disciplined and impatient. His evasions grow sharper when Bigg questions official history.
Story boundary
The creator approved renaming Episode 5’s Alizean trainer Korren. Veyr remains the established Maggis research commander; no defection or species change is implied.
Figi
The scientist overseeing the returning human collection. Bigg’s unexpected awakening turns a completed assignment into a question Figi cannot leave alone.
Creator’s character · New visual designVisual continuity
- Tall, broad-shouldered Alizean with dark umber skin, amber eyes and two small lower tusks.
- Bald head and clean-shaven angular face; visually distinct from Aren Tal.
- Long ivory tunic, petrol-teal diagonal sash and rectangular bronze clasp.
- Segmented bronze collar and bracers; flat bronze-edged blue scanner.
Voice
Clinical and economical, with sudden authority when his research is threatened. Curiosity should feel unsettling rather than theatrical.
Story boundary
His name, role and actions come from Episode 3. Appearance is an adaptation proposal. The reason for Bigg’s resistance and Figi’s future intentions remain unconfirmed.
John Osaige
Twenty years old, in his second year at Oba University of Science and Technology (OUST). He trusts equations until the night his world stops obeying familiar rules.
Creator’s character · Episode 2 visual adaptationVisual continuity
- Deep-brown skin, slim build, oval face, short natural black coils.
- Teal open overshirt, cream crew-neck T-shirt, charcoal trousers, white trainers.
- No glasses, beard, powers or costume change during Episode 2.
Voice
Observant, wry and initially sceptical. His retrospective account admits fear and regret.
Story boundary
His name, age, university, discipline and narration come from the chapter. He does not know the young woman’s name. The underwater interlude is not his firsthand account.
Hamed Sani
A resourceful friend who jokes through ordinary problems. He is repairing the rechargeable lamp when a larger failure overtakes the city.
Creator’s character · Episode 2 visual adaptationVisual continuity
- Stockier build, warm dark-brown skin, round face, very short black curls.
- Mustard yellow T-shirt, navy trousers, black sneakers.
- His hand slips from John’s wrist; both are taken.
Voice
Dry, quick humour. His confidence falters when a charged battery stops working.
Story boundary
Do not leave him behind in the street. No hacking feat or supernatural ability has been established.
Okon Umor
He follows space agencies and Mr Bigg’s warnings. His friends’ jokes hurt because he fears the warning may be true.
Creator’s character · Episode 2 visual adaptationVisual continuity
- Tall and lanky, very deep-brown skin, long face, high short natural coils.
- Cobalt hoodie over a navy T-shirt with a white orbital-circle design.
- Black trousers, grey trainers; his phone carries Bigg’s recorded warning.
Voice
Enthusiastic and insistent; shaken vindication replaces excitement during the blackout.
Story boundary
His course of study is unspecified. His fascination with the ship is not evidence of allegiance or prior contact.
Terry Edosa
A gifted student who distinguishes evidence from claims. He makes practical decisions as the danger becomes immediate.
Creator’s character · Episode 2 visual adaptationVisual continuity
- Lean build, dark-brown skin, angular face, close black hair.
- Thin rectangular metal glasses, burgundy rolled-sleeve shirt.
- Sand chinos and brown shoes; glasses remain on throughout the chapter.
Voice
Precise, thoughtful and economical. “Knowing the truth and proving it are two different things.”
Story boundary
His scholarship, memory and choice of Law are established. No secret profession, family history or special ability is added.
Kachi Unduka
Attentive to people in distress, even while sleep deprived. He stops for the mother who has lost her son.
Creator’s character · Episode 2 visual adaptationVisual continuity
- Broad shoulders, dark-brown skin, square face, rounded short afro.
- Sage-green short-sleeve shirt with a chest pocket, dark-grey trousers, tan trainers.
- Everyday clothes throughout; no lab coat or medical badge invented.
Voice
Warm and concerned, with occasional humour. His questions become practical when someone needs help.
Story boundary
He is a student, not an established doctor. The missing boy’s fate is not resolved.
The young woman
Around nineteen or twenty, found beneath a dead streetlight. She recognises the lights and warns the group before all six are taken.
Creator’s character · Episode 2 visual adaptationVisual continuity
- Dark-brown skin, slim build, heart-shaped face.
- Black cornrows drawn into a low ponytail; small superficial cut above her left eyebrow.
- Dusty rust-orange jacket, cream T-shirt, black jeans and black shoes.
- Charcoal backpack held against her chest, retained during the abduction.
Voice
Frightened, brief and urgent. “It’s happening again” is knowledge, not an explanation of its source.
Story boundary
Remain unnamed. Do not infer kinship, allegiance, powers, identity of the person sought, or what happened to her before the scene.
Aren Tal
The scientist who brings Earth’s existence before the elders. His excitement is tempered by the hope that the expedition will deserve the trust of the people it finds.
New name & design · Episode 1 adaptationVisual continuity
- Dark umber skin, tall muscular frame, two small lower tusks and amber eyes.
- Short tightly coiled hair; one thin copper-beaded temple braid.
- Ivory sleeveless cross-wrap, rust-red sash, bronze collar and bracers.
- A circular bronze star-chart tablet; no costume changes in Episode 1.
Voice
Urgent and precise when reporting evidence; quietly awed when speaking about humanity.
Story boundary
His name and personality are proposed. The discovery and announcement to the elders come from the original episode outline.
Elder Seya
The elder who hears Aren’s discovery and orders the expedition. She gives the council a recognizable face without resolving the wider politics of Almag.
New character · Episode 1 adaptationVisual continuity
- Older Alizean woman, dark umber skin, strong build and small lower tusks.
- Silver braids gathered into one high bun.
- Ivory robes, ochre shawl, broad bronze sun-disc collar and sun-disc earrings.
Voice
Calm, economical, decisive. She asks a short question and expects a considered answer.
Story boundary
Her name, design and council role are additions. The elders dispatching the ships is an established episode event.
Mr Bigg
The Nigerian scientist whose satellite feed exposes the battle above Earth. His resources cannot protect him from an event he has only just begun to understand.
Established character · Existing design retainedVisual continuity
- Dark-brown Nigerian man in his late forties; short black hair greying at the temples.
- Short salt-and-pepper beard, rectangular black glasses with gold temples.
- Indigo collarless jacket, cream shirt, cream-and-indigo patterned cuffs.
- Dark trousers and shoes. Black smartphone, metal keys and black key fob.
Voice
Plain-spoken and evidence-led. Under captivity, dry humour and pointed questions help him manage fear; compassion for other captives remains stronger than his need to be right.
Story boundary
Dr Magnus Bigg, Mr Bigg and Scientist Bigg are the same person. Episode 2 establishes his full name, public following and three years of warnings. His Episode 2 appearance is a recording, not evidence that he has returned after his abduction.
Veyr
An established visual concept now gives the Maggis response a personal voice. Veyr receives the report on Almag and orders collection vessels to depart.
Existing draft character · Episode 1 role proposedVisual continuity
- Pearl-grey skin, enlarged elongated cranium, glossy black almond-shaped eyes.
- Hairless, small mouth, long pale fingers.
- Graphite high-collared uniform with narrow cyan piping and triangular silver fastenings.
Voice
Measured and clinical. A living world is described as something to study and collect.
Story boundary
Veyr’s involvement is an adaptation choice. This episode does not place Veyr aboard the crashed pod.
Professor Adun
Bigg’s friend and the person he calls when he discovers the battle. Adun does not answer and does not appear on the page. Their appearance, discipline, location and reason for being unreachable remain open, so this episode assigns no visual design.
Episode 1 continuity notes — contains story spoilers
- The Alizean scientist discovers Earth, calls it the blue dot, and reports humanity’s willpower and imagination to the elders.
- The Alizean expedition leaves first. The Maggis learn of Earth and dispatch their own vessels; how the news reaches them remains unspecified.
- Exactly two Alizean battleships remain above Earth. Exactly four Alizean exploration ships camouflage and enter the atmosphere to take human specimens.
- The Alizean open fire on the approaching Maggis. Only one Maggis exploration pod enters Earth’s atmosphere, is hit, and crashes into the Atlantic.
- Bigg discovers the battle through his satellite feed, fails to reach Professor Adun, sees national missing-person reports, reaches for his keys and is lifted away in white light.
- The missing-person reports concern Nigeria. This episode does not identify every missing person or establish who took each one.
- Episode 1 leaves the pod’s contents unknown; Episode 2 reveals three Maggis crew aboard the damaged vessel. Bigg’s captor, Adun’s whereabouts and the origin of superhuman abilities remain unresolved.
- The creator renamed Episode 2 The Night the Stars Fell. Episode 1’s preview now uses that title and links to the published chapter.
Episode 2 continuity notes — contains story spoilers

The fractured-helmet warrior, the smaller staff-bearer and a silent third crew member. None is identified as Veyr.
- John, Hamed, Okon, Terry and Kachi share a home. The university is Oba University of Science and Technology (OUST). Only John’s exact age and academic year are specified.
- The opening falls on a Thursday. At 8:47 p.m. the extraordinary blackout disables phones, the charged lamp, generators and traffic signals as well as mains power.
- Bigg’s three years of warnings and the signal recorded three weeks earlier are claims in his video. The video is recorded before his disappearance; its exact recording time remains unspecified. It does not undo Episode 1’s abduction.
- The Atlantic vessel continues the crashed pod’s pointed ribbed black hull and cyan lights. “Pod” describes its expedition role, not a one-person capsule. No new ship replaces the wreck.
- Three unnamed Maggis occupy the command chamber: the fractured-helmet warrior, the smaller staff-bearer, and a silent third crew member. None is identified as Veyr. The crew’s “Lost” report does not resolve every unseen person’s fate.
- Eko and Lagos refer to the same city in this account. The beacon predates humanity’s search for the stars; its maker, mechanism and precise location remain unknown.
- The underwater interlude uses a separate narrative viewpoint. John cannot report the private Maggis conversation from personal experience.
- A mother reports her son missing; an adult man disappears beside a car. Neither their ultimate fate nor the identity of their captor is resolved.
- All five friends and the young woman are lifted into the white beam. Hamed’s slipping grip does not mean he escapes. Her backpack stays with her.
- The colossal black ship above the clouds has blue seams and a circular opening. Similar technology is not proof that it is the underwater wreck; the chapter does not show that vessel surfacing.
- The chapter ends with a voice inside John’s mind: “Human specimen identified.” The speaker, ship ownership, young woman’s identity and any future powers remain unrevealed.
- Novel mode retains the complete six-scene arc. Comic lettering condenses dialogue for readability while preserving its key claims and decisions. The creator supplied Episode 3’s title, The Beginning of Our Lives. Its teaser stays with the abduction cliffhanger without inventing the next episode’s plot.
Episode 3 continuity notes — contains story spoilers
- The creator’s final Episode 3 title is The Beginning of Our Lives. Its preview links to Episode 4, Where It All Began.
- Figi and his crew are Alizean. The creator confirmed that their arrival should be on Almag’s sunlit hemisphere. The source’s dark-city imagery is adapted to sandstone, bronze, luminous bridges and permanent sunlight.
- Bigg retains his established face, glasses, beard, indigo jacket, cream shirt and patterned cuffs. He wakes aboard an Alizean vessel and rejects its sedation. Episode 3 does not explain the cause; later discoveries belong to Episodes 4–5.
- Figi is a separate scientist from Aren Tal. Bronze-armoured Alizean guards are visually distinct from the pale, graphite-armoured Maggis.
- Exactly three Maggis survive in the same Atlantic wreck from Episodes 1–2. The previously silent round-headed operator is the scout; the cracked-helmet warrior is the second speaker; the blue-staff bearer is the third.
- Exactly two smaller exploration craft survive inside the larger wreck. The scout and warrior operate the lead craft; the staff-bearer pilots the second and speaks over radio. The larger wreck is not repaired or relaunched.
- The first failed contact and the later successful call are separated by three weeks. The repair mechanism is left unspecified. Maggis Command remains an unseen voice and is not identified as Veyr.
- The first confirmed count is 100 people across Edo, Eko, Kano and Imo. The Maggis take 30 more, bringing the reported total to 130. The two departing pods carry the second group; no new mothership appears before the promised rendezvous.
- The source’s missing-son photograph is changed to a missing-husband photograph so the daughter’s question about Daddy refers to the same person. This unnamed family has no invented connection to the principal cast.
- White light marks the earlier abductions; the Maggis second wave uses green light. The attack and damage in Eko remain explicit without depicting graphic injuries.
- This episode uses third-person narration. John is not made to witness private alien conversations; his friends, the unnamed young woman, the beacon’s origin and Professor Adun’s whereabouts receive no new revelations.
- Creator’s corrections: page 6 ends with Bigg asking ‘Who are you?’; page 9’s command is ‘Show them what is to come’; page 10’s anchor says ‘Another wave of abduction. Be safe out there, people. God be with us.’ The 130-person total remains established in prose and the closing caption.
- The press spokesperson is a distinct lean, clean-shaven man with a flat-top haircut and burgundy tie, without Bigg’s glasses or beard. The same bob-haired female news anchor appears on pages 5 and 10. Pilots are visible aboard the Alizean arrival ship and both active Maggis pods; humans occupy the rear compartments only after the second wave.
Episode 4 continuity notes — contains story spoilers
- Title: Where It All Began. Twelve comic pages and matching first-person prose, narrated by Mr Bigg. The original manuscript is preserved separately.
- The opening follows Bigg’s arrival on the sunlit side. The explicit months-later jump occurs before the underground laboratory visit; no Earth calendar date or extra abduction count is inferred.
- Bigg’s existing human face, indigo jacket, cream shirt, patterned cuffs, beard and glasses remain fixed. His neuroscience interests expand his established scientific background; Dr Magnus Bigg and Mr Bigg remain one person.
- Figi remains Alizean, bald, ivory-and-teal, and the same chief scientist introduced aboard the ship. He warns Thaeron about cellular collapse; Thaeron orders the experiment to proceed.
- Thaeron and Sera are creator-named characters. Their visual designs are adaptation proposals. Thaeron’s account of moral Alizeans and corrupt Maggis is propaganda spoken by a character, not an objective world rule.
- The astronomical wording is corrected: a fixed stellar hemisphere can result from rotation synchronised with the orbit, not a planet failing to rotate. Bigg initially treats tidal locking as a hypothesis. The later historical catastrophe does not prove an orbital mechanism.
- Months later, humans are shown undergoing transformations. The conversion field fails, strikes Bigg and leaves him without detectable mutation, neurological alteration or structural damage. This does not establish universal invulnerability or conscious power control.
- Thaeron’s ‘thousands of subjects’ line remains. Their species, identities and dates are unspecified; it does not change the previously reported total of 130 missing humans.
- The endangered subject’s outcome is not supplied and remains unresolved. Fallen guards are not declared dead. Medical scenes are non-graphic and captives remain clothed.
- Episode 4’s preview links to Episode 5, The First Light. John, his friends, Professor Adun and the returning Maggis crew receive no invented off-page outcomes.
Episode 5 continuity notes — contains story spoilers
- The First Light is the adaptation’s working title, drawn from the manuscript. Fifteen four-panel pages preserve its twelve source-page sequence, with complete prose. The creator supplied the Episode 6 teaser title, The Reveal. Its short closing teaser references the sealed chamber without inventing Episode 6 events.
- The creator approved ‘Third day since the laboratory accident’ in place of ‘Day three on Almag’, preserving Episode 4’s months of captivity. ‘That night’ becomes the citadel’s rest cycle because this hemisphere remains sunlit.
- The creator approved Korren as the Alizean trainer’s name. Veyr retains his Maggis identity and earlier story role. Sera and Elder Seya are separate people.
- Bigg’s scientific observations help him dodge one strike and study resonance. He does not gain mastery of combat or intentionally command the containment surge. The gauntlet fails; the crystal responds blue; the later machine reverses gold energy into a violet core.
- The divided-circle symbol is a simple vertically divided gold-and-violet circle. Its recurrence links the crystal, containment system and ancient archive without explaining Bigg’s origin.
- The solar lattice distributes energy and stabilises the Alizean climate. Maggis cities have their own connected systems and knowledge the Alizeans lack. Neither illumination nor species determines moral character.
- PROJECT LIGHT describes enhanced protective capabilities; PROJECT VEIL describes enhanced destructive capabilities; TRANSFER PROTOCOL names Earth. Bigg discovers plans, not a completed return. No named captive is assigned to either project.
- The unnamed laboratory scientist is distinct from Figi: a lean younger Alizean with tightly braided copper hair and a white lab robe with slate-blue shoulders. The source does not name or identify this person as Figi.
- An incomplete recording shows Maggis researchers and an Alizean soldier. This challenges Korren’s interpretation but does not prove who caused the event.
- The archive shows earlier Alizean–Maggis cooperation and a shared attempt to contain a catastrophe. Missing footage, command access and a shadowed figure with a ring device remain evidence requiring interpretation; the culprit, species and full cause are unknown.
- Bigg proposes complementary frequencies as a hypothesis. The First Light’s nature, disappearance and connection to Bigg remain unconfirmed. The historical division is not asserted to have created tidal locking.
- Thaeron seals the chamber, keeps Sera under observation and orders Bigg’s training to continue. This is not an escape, a reconciliation or a public release of the archive.
